We are very excited to announce a series of ‘Wild Swimming Walks’ events to celebrate the launch of our new book
Join the Kenwood Ladies’ Pond Association on their favourite countryside walks across southern and eastern England. These wild swimming walks – all accessible by train – lead to secret lakes, river meadows and sandy seaside beaches.
6th June
Parkland Walk (4 miles). Includes pond swimming with £2 entry charge. Deep water and lifeguarded.
4th July
Benfleet Walk (4 or 5.5 or 8.5 miles) One swim from a sandy beach.
11th July
Kirby Cross Walk to Walton (5 or 7.5 or 10 miles). One or more swims from sandy beaches.
25th July
Shiplake Walk (7 miles). One or more swims in the Thames. Deep water.

In addition there will be a unique screening of ‘Where the Wild Things Swim’ – a cinematic adventure of the ultimate wild swimming experiences at 15 Hanbury Street, London E1 6QR on Monday 18th May, 7pm
‘Where the Wild Things Swim’ is a collection of awe inspiring, hair raising, historical and intimate personal stories of wild swimmers and their favourite wild swimming escapes. Author, wild swimmer and environmental activist Sarah Saunders will also give a talk about ‘Wild Swimming Walks’. You can reserve a sofa seat for £5 or buy general admission ticket £3 for the screening. Wild Swimming Walks will also be available to purchase at the event. Tickets are on pre-sale here
