The River Severn is easily accessible via the slipway outside the Lower Lode Hotel.
It does tend to be a little murky, and the pub is generally VERY busy throughout the summer, particularly at weekends, so parking can be tricky.
Take care with the current (not to bad when the water is fairly low) and also keep an eye out for boats, particularly the ferry!
