A cracking swimming spot that I remember from growing up in the area. The river Kent slows down just here as it makes it’s way out of Kendal. There is parking up the track for a few cars and a small river ‘beach’ area to sit on.
As far as swimming spots go, there are shallow spots for kids and deeper areas with overhanging trees for the more seasoned river swimmer.
