I hope I’m not being really stupid but …. can somebody / anybody clarify which Rhaeadr Du waterfalls this is ? The map on the right shows it to be North West of Llyn Trawsfynydd (where on an OS map there is a Rhaeadr Du). However all other refs on the internet seem to be the falls near Ganllwyd (nr Coed-y-Brenin). I would hate to walk to the wrong place !!

The book said it was a ‘bush-whack’ down off the track and so thats what we did in the pouring rain, soaking all our clothes to get changed back into and making it greasier to get down to. definately well worth it after walking through a woodland path where everything feels quite enclosed to suddenly get to the plunge pool where it just opened up into an ampitheatre of trees all around and a faced with a huge pool to jump straight into and play around under the waterfall. felt like we were the only people in the world who had ever been there. 5 star
