This place doesn’t get much sunlight so be aware that it’s very cold! Winter wetsuits recommended whatever the time of year if you want to spend a decent amount of time here.
It’s neighbour is the towering Clogwyn Du’r Arddu, famous amongst experienced climbers – and it sits alongside the Llanberis Path to the top of Snowdon.
I swam here as a quick stop off on my back down from Snowdon, it was pretty tricky to walk to but it was very refreshing after a long trek. Conveniently there’s a large stony beach adjacent, so plenty of space for you to leave your gear and keep it dry (depending on the weather!)
