Went there last weekend. Fantastic day. Beautiful scenery. The swans kept out of our way and the current carried us beautifully round the bend.

We tried this one this time last year and it was full of geese (and poo) the current was also far too fast to swim in due to previous heavy rainfall. The walk there involves climbing over fences and gates and yes, lots of thistles.

can get quite merkey, and watch out fo the thistles.
