A beautiful open historic vale, site of Flatford Mill, where people row on boats and occasionally swim. Fen Bridge is a quiet spot with 2m deep river pools and shelving access. Some weeds to watch for. Grade C due to fertiliser content (nitrates) but safe enough to swim.
