Two sets of pools underneath cascades, about 200m apart. 1’2m deep, about 30m long. Fun for plunging and snorkelling. Rocks, grassy knolls and trees make it perfect for picnics.

Lovely location for swimming. A shortish walk up along the road/campsite side of the river. Had been plenty of rain so there was a good flow but competent swimmers should be fine.

Great place for all the family with deep pools for diving and shallower ones for swimming. Take goggles as the water is clear and plenty of fish to see. Hot summer day but still only a few people there. We drove in, but road not that great will park by school and walk in along river next time ca.1 mile). Will definitely return.

We travelled to this river on a sunday afternoon in glorious sunshine and there were only a few people about. It is a super mix of places where younger visitors can paddle safely or swim well in the deeper parts.
We travelled by bike through the camp site but the terrain wasn’t really suitable for cycling. Perhaps use the path on the left bank of the river.
Remember to bring your goggles, the fish are plentyful

Beautiful spot and wonderful campsite. We went in the summer holidays at a weekend and there were very few people so must have got lucky. The water was higher than in the picture above but it had been raining a lot. Ths made the current quite strong but fun.

The most perfect place for children and adults. The water is quite deep in places with a current so children need to be confident in the water. There are fish swimming in the deep pools so if you have goggles or a mask and snorkel they are lovely to watch.
Gets very busy at weekends and in the summer holidays but is worth a visit.
