I went there today expecting it would be great, and quite close to where I live. It was a very beautiful spot and would be brilliant for a picnic, pub lunch etc, but the water wasn’t deep enough to swim in. I asked someone in the pub, and they looked a bit puzzled and just said well a lot of people paddle here- kids mostly!
Maybe I missed something, but I scouted around a bit and couldn’t see anywhere to actually swim.
Lovely spot though, I will say that.
I went on to Figheldene which was fabulous if a bit cold.
