Swim the Castle Moat

I am promoting a charity event at Broughton Castle which I am hoping may appeal to some of your members. It is for the local charity Active Dementia which gives respite to families and interesting afternoons to Dementia patients from the community. We are looking for good swimmers who would like to swim the moat ! We would like them to raise £100 each to do this for the non profit respite to use a mini bus for trips out for the patients, as well as the indoor activities they organize.
The swim is organised for September 14th and I can provide any other details needed.

I contacted Broughton Castle who told me that they know nothing of this event. Furthermore, moat swimming is not possible at the moment due to issues with Canadian duckweed. This is very disappointing as it would have been a lovely idea.
