Gorge Walking, North Wales. Rhaeadr du

a beautiful wild gorge, off the tourist track, with 2km woodland walk to high Waterfall or Gorge with deep plunge pool. Other pools and paddles along the way.

Main Waterfall
Cows tail Approach with abseil or path (one peg) leading down to main pool

Kit 2 X 50 meter ropes, screw gates, slings for rigging and group kit

Rhaeadr du – Afon Dwyryd Gorge

Kit 1 x 50 meter rope, screw gates and group kit

Both very well protected activities with bolted placements and well established trees through out the gorge, the main waterfall approach benefiting from doubled up placements with well set-out fixed gear for the abseil, although the stance being relatively small the clients could remain on cows tails before an aided abseil using Italian hitch or use of a figure of eight and safety rope depending on ability. Steep Footpath exits in both parts leading back to car park. Contact http://northwalesactive.co.uk
