   Beautiful location: just about deep enough to swim in August – about 1m20 in a stretch of about 10m. Thrilling dappling sunlight as in the photo and sense of isolation in a secret valley, surprisingly close to Tavistock.

   We spent a day here just off the Grenofen road. Took a picnic. The river is beautiful and the children loved wading and swinging on the rope. There was hardly anyone else about so it felt very special. Would definitely recommend.
