Watkins path Waterfall or Gorge

An extended series of pools and falls starting close to the Snowdon Watkins path. Rather overlooked but popular with walkers.

Went to this place yesterday, the series of pools and waterfalls were absolutly amazing, all rather accessible and only a 30 minute brisk walk from the bottom. The weather was around 17c, the water was of a good temperature to swim without the need for wetsuits etc. Jumping into the plunge pools was great fun, depths up to around 10-12ft deep in places.

looks 5 star from wherever you are, it just is 5 star. turquoise waters, that i couldnt get my top off and shorts on quick enough for. the kind of place that makes you feel like its summer on the darkest day.

This is my number one place to swim wild in Snowdonia, especially after a stomp up Snowdon. Overlooked by very envious walkers as you frolic in any number of little pools and waterfalls. Crystal clear, ice cold, delicious. Children adore it.
