We as a family went there for years. We took picnics had a pint at the pub watched the cricket and paddled in the shallow water with young children-there are also walks and it is near Frensham Ponds, another beauty spot.

Had lovely family day there today (A lovely sunny Sunday). Water cold, and swimming not encouraged, but for paddling with kids glorious. 4 families there in morning, went back in afternoon and was busier but not awful at all, with a good crowd scattered round the cricket. Pub not that great, sadly.

Lovely area, beautiful village green etc. Council have recently erected a rather large ‘no swimming’ sign so this combined with a strong current on the day we went meant we didnt swim there on this occasion! However, water is clear and bottom looked relatively even.
