Swam here today, a lovely cool dip in peaty water that looks like you are swimming in Coca Cola and full of tadpoles at this time year. Beautiful scenery all round.
Was 27th July 2012. Warmish but windy. The approach down to the pool is easy. The grass around the waters edge is extremely muddy and boggy. Clear water looked very inviting but too too cold to swim. Glorious scenery all around the pool.

Water was very cold but refreshing, and a lovely peaty colour. Edges of pool very marshy, so difficult to get in and out for some.
But glorious scenery all around and the mythology of the water makes it all the more exciting. Swam on the 6th May 2013.
