This one’s definitely not for the faint-hearted, but offers a great start to the open water season and is the ideal motivator to keep your pool training on track over winter!
Organised in partnership with Wokingham Borough Council, the Uber Swim starts and finishes at Dinton Activity Centre in Dinton Pastures Country Park. To get to that finish line you must first swim around 3,000 metres in two lakes lakes and tackle three separate entry and exit points.

First comes a 700m warm-up in Black Swan Lake before you hot-foot it out and re-enter the same water for 230m. Then a second short run and it’s into White Swan Lake for 870m, another trot on dry land and back into Black Swan Lake again for 500m. A last quick sprint, a final 700m in Black Swan Lake, and you’re over the finish line.
We strongly recommend that you wear a wetsuit in order to compete in this competition. The water is likely to fall below 11C which may have implications for your health. If you decide not to wear a wetsuit you do so at your own risk and waive your rights to bring any claim against Barnes Fitness Ltd as far as the law allows. Please also note that failure to wear a wetsuit will result in YOU NOT BEING COVERED BY OUR INSURANCE and you should arrange your own personal insurance cover accordingly.
Wetsuits can be hired on a first come, first served basis for £5 for the event only when you enter online.
